Shannon Hoagland has years of sophisticated real estate and corporate
law experience, focused on commercial real estate, hospitality, and non-
profit law. She is a Board Certified Real Property Specialist, certified by
the Minnesota State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in
Minnesota, Wisconsin and Florida. Shannon graduated cum laude from
Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1994, and magna cum laude
from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1998.
Shannon began her practice with the Minneapolis law firm of Leonard, Street and Deinard,
Minnesota's fourth largest firm with over 200 attorneys. Shannon was a partner in the real
estate group, representing developers, non-profits, and government agencies in real estate
acquisition, development, land use and general corporate matters.
She moved to Orlando in 2008, where she became Vice President, Legal- Acquisitions and
Development, for Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc. In that role, Shannon was responsible for
acquisition and development of new resorts throughout the United States, Mexico and the
Caribbean. Her responsibilities also included creation and implementation of Wyndham's
cutting-edge Asset Affiliation Model. Shannon was also responsible for managing outside
counsel relationships, and she understands the need for consistency, efficiency, and
predictability in legal work and expenses.
Shannon's representation focuses on real estate development including sales, acquisitions,
leasing, construction, zoning and land use. Her experience includes commercial business
parks, corporate offices, shopping centers, retail stores, medical offices, restaurants, hotels
and resorts, residential developments, supportive housing, and complex brownfields
redevelopment. She also provides corporate legal services, including formation of and ongoing
guidance to corporations, limited liability companies, and non-profit organizations, as well as
complex joint venture agreements, such as agreements between public and private entities,
and between for-profit and non-profit entities.
Prior to practicing law, Shannon was a judicial clerk for Justice James H. Gilbert of the
Minnesota Supreme Court.

Shannon is married to Corey Hoagland (of Hoagland Electric, LLC in Orlando, FL). Shannon is a
hockey, football and baseball fan (Wild and Blackhawks, Da Bears, and Chicago Cubs, with the
Twins and even the Tampa Bay Lightning sneaking into the mix). Shannon and Corey enjoy
traveling, including spring training and baseball trips, and more recently, exploring the
Southeast since moving to Florida in 2008. Shannon recently traveled to Cuba with the
Minnesota State Bar Association.
Shannon is passionate about helping others, and is actively involved in a variety of non-profit and
social service organizations in both Minnesota and in Central Florida.
